The caves were completely devoid of any interesting level design. The combination of the levels and the enemy placement didn't fit with how the pikmin control at all. The treasures weren't very rewarding because there was so many of them and all they do is arbitrarily increase a number (that for the final chunk of the game doesn't matter anyway). It didn't feel like I was exploring a game world, it felt like I was manipulating and abusing game mechanics.

Worst pikmin game.
