I thought that was the point of the post and why everyone was conveniently editing it.

They put in low effort crappy inclusion, so it can easily be cut out in other markets without losing any real value.

If they built strong characters with those themes and integrated them well with the game, they wouldnt be able to cut them out without it being cost prohibitive.

They would have to remake too much of the game, kinda funny how people responded to it.

it's basically just stock rainbow capitalism. again. it was never really much (if ever) about actual LGBT rights or representation, it's about selling merchandise of your favorite characters with rainbows on them.

(obviously this isn't to say there aren't LGBT, or even straight sometimes, creators putting LGBT content in media because they actually want it, because there are a lot of those, but these are usually the types of people who get a lot of push back from the major corporations when they actually bring up the topic of LGBT censorship in countries with tight LGBT laws)

There is a main story mission where a female character mentions her girlfriend, wonder how that was handled. Maybe that part of the cutscene was removed.

This is the one thing I'll attack 'woke' stuff for. These corpo bloodsuckers don't care about gay, Black, trans, etc, people, they care about their money and good graces. And China/Saudi Arabia's money.

That is exactly the pretense. And that was exactly there thinking.

People will still argue though that they should stand by their principles and choose to not sell anything at all in those countries at the cost of large amounts of money, but that was never going to happen.
