With a term limit, they can only serve X amount of terms but can be elected at any age the electorate sees fit.

With an age limit, they can be reelected as many times as the electorate sees fit, up to the age limit.

Age, as it includes an inevitable term limit, whereas only having a term limit allows people too old/out of touch for the work to get in there and do damage.

Also, an age limit may encourage younger people to run for office while they have the time to accomplish work they feel passionate about, and discourage old people for the same reason.

Age limit. Prevent the chances of cognitive decline while in office, which recently fucked over Democrats in the Senate and hopefully will soon fuck over Senate Republicans w/ the turtle.

Should also be laws against owning any stock or other interest in individual companies while in office and like 2 years afterward, only index stocks like S&P 500 allowed. And a lifetime ban from lobbying after serving in Congress.
That stuff would be way more beneficial than term limits.

Term limits are fucking stupid. Each new crop of Republicans is more vile, evil, and deplorable than the last. Why the fuck would you want to speed up the turn over even faster?

Term limits are a bad idea because it gives people in government even more incentive than they have now to govern in a way that favors big business and lobbyists, because they're probably going to need a job in the private sector once they hit their term limit and they don't want to burn bridges.

An age limit wouldn't be bad if it's set high enough that people who reach it will be at a comfortable retirement age.

I think term limits for any and all elected officials is a good thing. The idea was that elections were term limits, but with gerrymandering all but eliminating a majority of competitive districts, term limits would stop officials from just being life long politicians.

6 years for Senate
4 years for President

if you don't like how your elected official is doing, either run for office yourself or vote for the other guy and help spread the word for others to do the same.

I think "term limits" refers to how many terms, not the length of the terms.

Anyone should be kicked out of office the day they turn 65 and you shouldn't be able to hold any position for more than 10 years.
