The would be beings that control a spinoff of the Plagas. Maybe have 3 witch factions that are fighting for control of some territory and you get caught in the middle of it.

All new MC that was a member of the BSAA and sent to shut this whole thing down.

Takes place in Australia.

Called Resident Evil HEX (Part of the E and X are in bold to make the roman numeral for 9)

That or Revelations 3 following the adventure of Hunk going after some loose ends through RE history.

That was only pre-release statement because the game was a direct continuation to RE7: "biohazard" and it confused people but it is the 8th numerical game in the main franchise.

anyway 1st person again please because every single horror game now is the same over the shoulder camera angle and it's getting very vanilla again.

Strip it down from 8. Less action, more horror. Smaller scale. More open area with back tracking and puzzles and not just linear levels. No weird currencies and shop mechanic. You pick your shit up off the ground like a real protagonist. Just a straight forward resident evil game.

No, they had one of those surely terrible canon CGI movies where they were too lazy to make a new Jill model, so they used the one from RE3 and said she was just aging slower.

I have nearly every resident evil game on my steam account but i refuse to buy 8. I played 7 and I hate the slow ass walking/running in the first person. I just couldn't get immersed because all that's happening in my head is just 'move faster!'.

Resident evil shouldn't be first person anyway imo. Their characters are important and when it's in first person, it weakens that aspect.

So if 9 is in first person again, I won't be buying it.

I just played 7 and Village for the first time over this past month. Haven't played the RE4 Remake yet but with the similarities that Village and RE4 share, I don't expect something like that again so soon. That said, if they do what I really want (bring back Jill) then it'd kinda have to be third-person and action-heavy. Maybe they'll try the multi-campaign thing again and actually do it well this time.
