I had about 750 hours on it.

I had caught all the pokemon.

I was 20 stages away from finishing all the UX stages.

This is absolutely devastating.

Oh man I wasted so many hours on that game, I was glad when I finally got rid of it. My condolences, though! That's so close to 100%. How did you lose your save?

Oh my god, how? As someone who spent more than 999 hours on this (I dunno, it caps at 999 hours) I feel you so much

When I finally beat everything I wanted I was so "happy" - I felt so free

My friend was super into shuffle.

I can tell this is quite a heartbreaker! But loss makes you stronger.

I just started it up and it initialized the save data. It was fine the night before.

I think that since I've been using a larger than standardized micro sd card, that it was a bit slower loading up the data one time and thought the data didn't exist or had been corrupted and overwrote it.

Decided to look at my save again...wait, you were 20 stages away from clearing the UX stages?
I spent like 4 years playing this and turns out my goal was to beat 150 UX stages and that's it (out of 700). Not to mention S ranking those stages...

But I am rank 30, got 60 in survival mode, caught all Pokemon and S ranked everything up to UX 50

Most of the UX stages aren't really any more difficult than finishing them the first time, and you've probably got most of the good options maxed out at that point. Though after you get to the back half of the game you might have to use a +5 moves and/or attack up more regularly on stages with low move limits or don't really have any good options to deal with them due to the type matchup, and then with later legendary/mega stages you'd probably have to drop a complexity powerup too (but you probably would have had to do that the first time too with a lot of the later ones).

The hardest part was the expert stages, where I had to use a full set up of powerups plus continuing with crystals multiple times to get the last couple of them.
