Dark_Spiret 11/01/23 11:25:23 AM #51:	8 is a direct continuation of 7's story and characters so definitely play through 7 before 8. as far as 8 as a game itself its alright. it looks great and its got some good moments, but overall its pacing is all over the place and while it puts combat over everything it doesnt really do it well and unfortunately forgoes a lot of 7's more interesting aspects in favor of the combat which doesnt feel like it does in the other RE remakes (especially 4 which it tries to ape the most). i wasnt the biggest fan of 7, but after 8 i came around to it more. 7 is pretty good. <cite>Dark_Spiret posted [p:976974323] in thinking o... The castle's cool and the village itself is too, but the second boss is ~~a walking simulator~~ and is a major drag on subsequent playthroughs. Also not crazy about the story or last third of the game.
