Darksiders 3
Its a challenging game but I made a lot of progress the last time I fired it up. I played it for about 3 days and put it back down because I kinda got lost and something about the graphics makes me begin to feel nauseous.

I'll probably play a bit more this weekend.

That one was a rough to get through.

Disco elysium

God. I really don't wanna be a racist just to advance in that game - that's gross.

I just tried Pillars of Eternity for the 4th time. I just don't enjoy real time with pause. It's not that I find it bad or anything, I just enjoy slow meticulous combat with turn based games.
And before you say "that's what the pause is for!", it's just not the same.
I moved on to Wrath of the Righteous to try and finish it before Rogue Trader.

Fire Emblem Engage was great. Definitely worth playing.
The gameplay & combat was great, everything else is a complete downgrade since three houses lmao. That's made it real hard to come back to

Agreed. The sideshit felt like a chore compared to the more compelling school portion in 3 houses.

If you really want to, you can get the few bonuses for succeeding in hitting him and then just save scumming until it finally works. Plus you can wear the Tank Top, which I guess helps.

It's...one of those games where they say you can fail forward, so save scumming seems so against the spirit of it, you know? However, thank you for the tips.

Disco Elysium was a game I didn't think I'd like since there was no combat and I never really got into proper crpgs .I decided to try it anyways. But it was too strange learning about their politics and their racism and I could study this....? Like I could learn how to be more of both. Plus that kid was an ass hole and I already have a hard time liking kids in games.

I just made the wrong choice. Sure it's a lot of fun for their more targeted audience.

Disco Elysium without the voice acting is a very dry experience, but the ultimate edition with full voice acting & dialogue is an unironic masterpiece. I hate how much that word gets thrown around I honestly do, but it was my first experience with CRPGs ever, & it was fantastic, worth 2 playthroughs.

Also yeah Carljank, I have to find my motivation to actually play FE: Engage but doing anything on a switch these days is meh lol

#62 I got the voice acted version, but it just didn't really do it for me. I know I quit Divinity Original Sin 2 too early because of my stubbornness and somewhat unaware nature of how fast things can change in battle but I am not going back to Disco E. Not because it offends me, in one bit. The style didn't really mesh with me and well I got into other games that had less combat or none by then.

I am happy to hear how actual choice driven it is actually and you can literally roleplay strange how the ppl who made it lost the game to corporations??

Shadow of War is a very good game. Very much refines much of what was great about Mordor. Definitely worth playing if you have slept on it.

I picked up Tears of the Kingdom against these past few days. Previously I did a few sidequests and three dungeons and was turned off at the low quality of everything and how underwhelming the rewards for exploration where. I intended to just do the water temple and ganon to get it over with this time. But mostly I've found myself wandering around doing shrines, towers, labyrinths, etc. I am having fun moreso than when I was following the plot, but still wish the game had a decent gameplay loop where exploration, puzzles/dungeons, and combat reinforced each other.

This probably doesn't really count. I bought la pucelle tactics on PS3 before mine died like 6 or 7 years ago. I made it to the start of chapter 4 ( of 12). I'm almost done with chapter 6 now, as I bought it again on steam a couple weeks ago.

I loved the game for what it was but I also agree with you. Especially how weak the main dungeons/labyrinths are.
