I haven't watched it for years. Doing a full rewatch on Hulu. On season 3 episode 22 right now. Loving it. I can't believe I watched this as a kid in the 90s haha. Still have the movie on VHS at my parents. Hoping to get to the season before that before I visit again.

My wife and I just did a rewatch ourselves. We're now watching the season fro 2016. Great show. My uncle actually married the daughter of Mark Snow who does the music for thw xfiles

Man I feel kinda bad for David Duchovny X-Files became his entire life. He tried to do literally anything else but it all failed.

Probably didn't help he lent his talents to a Skinamax show.

I dislike the mythology episodes. The MOTW episodes are the best.

I remember this show being really popular but I never watched a single episode. Im generally not into sci-fi but even beyond that, this show started my senior year of high school and I was constantly busy and then I left for the military and besides going to movies I pretty much didnt follow any tv shows while in the Navy from 1994 to 1999. We were always out to sea.

So by the time I got home in 1999 the thing had been on like 5 or 6 seasons already and there was no point in trying to start it.

I probably still wouldnt have watched it regardless as its sci-fi but I had a handful of friends swear it was a great show.

The thing about the lore of the mythos episodes was despite being kind of scattered, it was all explained well enough. It's just that the whole thing wasn't very interesting.

One of my favourite shows ever. The last couple of seasons of the initial run are pretty hard to watch though.

That's awesome! I only caught a few episodes of that season when it aired. I'm glad I get to watch it all now.

Some are good, but yeah even some of the MOTW episodes I didn't think would be good were really good.

The best MotW episode was the guy who eats cancer. It was also a turning point for the series.

You should try it. It's like a FBI drama with sci-fi. My wife doesn't like sci-fi stuff, but she is enjoying this.

It's also very low sci Fi. It's mostly a conspiracy thriller. Like if the MiB had to actually cover up shit the normal way instead of having amnesia flashlight gizmos.

Honestly, I dont hate Doggett. The Reyes character is ass though.

This is true. Doggett is OK, but Reyes is insufferable. I don't know if it's just her acting or what

The mytharc should have been a single season or two with a proper resolution. No reason to pepper its episodes across multiple seasons.

My favorite episodes were always XCOPS and How The Ghosts Stole Christmas.
