After being scared off by years of people talking about how impossibly difficult the game is, I picked up Cuphead last month and today was successful in taking down the last boss on normal difficulty, Chef Saltbaker.

Fun game. I'll probably go back to some of the original stuff with Ms Chalice to see how it changes things. I wonder what Studio MDHR is up to now

I thought the hard parts were trying to pacifist that pier level.
I don't think King Dice was that hard but I like how intimidating it looks when you first play it.

It was hard, but it was like Nintendo Hard vs "oh my god there's no way to beat this without trying hundreds of times per level!"

I guess growing up with bullshit hard games on the NES makes games like this that are challenging but fair feel like a different breed

Yeah agreedits challenging but theres no bullshit in your way at improving, you just jump right back in and start learning the boss mechanics some more.
