I see that Zoomers give Millennials a lot of flak and I was just thinking how in comparison Gen X was like Millennials cool older siblings. I could never dream of Millennials hating on Gen X because Gen X seems like one of the coolest generations and Zoomers seem cool in their own way but somehow Millennials didn't seem to quite achieve that.
its sort of weird growing older and realizing how you and the kids around you growing up will end up shaping a whole generational culture. You dont really notice it until you have distinct generations younger than you. Then all of a sudden you realized your generation has its own specific flavor that started when you guys were just kids growing up together and the cultural choices that get made. Its super weird. but yeah. Our generation looked up to Gen X but in some ways Zoomers seem to take after them more than us but in a different way and we seem a weird outlier in general. But more seriously, millenials grew up caring about entertainment and normal kid things so could look up to gen x rock bands etc. Zoomers grew up aware that the climate was failing and no one was doing anything about it, so blame everyone older than them the same way (current day) millenials do. --- binga ...
