Yes I get that it runs bad and isn't pretty and isn't Palworld

Anyway I don't want to be bored. Does it have any challenge

I've actually found it pretty challenging for a Pokemon game. The gym battles were pretty easy, but the Team Star bases and the Titans actually defeated me a few times.

It really only gets somewhat challenging in the Endgame and in the DLC Blueberry Academy arc (because the teams there are built as competitive doubles Teams).

Endgame isn't really a thing for me. Extremely rare (like once a console gen or less) that I engage with that stuff

It is overall harder compared previous games I think. It's a game where you can face bosses in any order you want so if you go out of order or don't look up the order on an online guide you can run into a harder Boss earlier than you should potentially. Also some bosses might be harder even if faced a properish time. I lost once to the fighting-type Team Star Boss despite facing her as one of my last bosses.

Also if you play the DLCs the Blueberry Academy Elite 4 are honestly one of the greatest challenges presented by a Pokemon game outside the battle towers or similar facilities.

can be pretty hard with the wrong matchups, and some later fights too. The second DLC is the hardest non-battle facility thing in the franchise

I stopped battling random trainers pretty early on, so I ended up a bit underleveled and used items on some of the end fights, so I guess its kinda challenging. I also changed some of my team every so often, so that helped.

The fact that you can do the gyms in any order means you can make it as easy or as hard as you want

It doesn't have any level scaling so the whole do the gyms in any order thing just makes them either too strong or super weak.

It has cute moments of game design that adds challenge in theory but assuming you traverse the world the way it thinks you will, it's not that much harder than a regular game.

That said, if you do shit out of order you'll almost definitely get wiped.

The Blueberry Academy is the only bit at all challenging and even that isn't particularly difficult.

It can be challenging sometimes due to (kinda) poor game design.

The entire world is open from the start pretty much, and if you take a wrong turn you can find yourself under-leveled for the area you're in pretty quickly.

There's clearly a traditional progression path intendes for gyms and bases, the fame just doesn't tell you or give you any indication of it.

The only battles that might be even remotely difficult if you're not underleveled are Iono's gym, the final boss of the main story, and the battles in the Indigo Disk DLC. Everything else is super easy if you're doing things right and only gets difficult if you stumble into a major battle underleveled due to the lack of level scaling.
