The only positives about it are sports, Black History Month and award shows. February is the month where winter has not only entrenched itself completely but also worn out its welcome. Valentine's Day makes single people feel bluer than they already do and is the big cultural focus for the first half of the month. February is so bad that despite being the shortest month of the year it can often feel like the longest. The Romans had a real sick sense of humor by giving leap day to fucking February. Why couldn't we get April 31, or September 31 instead? January sucks too but at least there's a new year high along with recaps of the best and worst of the year and has MLK Day. I also have a personal reason for hating February that combined with Valentines Day makes the Ides of February the worst part of the year. But despite everything I just posted I hope my February this year is better than my January which was one part severe depression one part nothing. There's even hope that one day February won't be so bad for me as my nephew's birthday is in the month so maybe the joy that will bring him as he gets older will lighten the mood of his grumpy uncle. /end rant Edit-And if you think February isn't the worst month I'm curious what you think is and your reasoning for it. --- Beware the fanatic!
