As investigators would later learn, Trump allegedly had the closet's lock changed while his attorney was in Mar-a-Lago's basement, searching for classified documents in a storage room that he was told would have all such documents. Trump's alleged efforts to conceal classified documents from both the FBI and his own attorney are a key part of Smith's indictment against Trump in Florida.

In addition to the closet, the FBI also didn't search what authorities have called a "hidden room" connected to Trump's bedroom, sources said.

I wonder what that "hidden room" was for?

I heard either Pam Keith or Jill Weinbanks (both of the legal profession) talk about how ridiculous it was that their search warrant had such extensive search authority and that they spent so long combing over that place, and they still hidden a hidden room and a locked door which when told they couldn't get access to (think they didn't have a key or something), instead of cutting the lock the FBI was just all "oh well, guess there's nothing we can do". It was a room that contained a lot of documents, of course.

It's ridiculous how Trump gets treated by the legal system.

They were there doing their job and did it poorly, gave Trump a ridiculous amount of attempts to cooperate and turn them in voluntarily they wouldn't have given hardly anybody else, and only got mad that he lied to them and didn't turn everything in, which finally led to legal action for obstructing their efforts.

A door with a lock that the owner says they don't have the key to, and so you just throw your hands up and walk away as if you're not the FBI executing a search warrant who could easily cut the lock is not the same as the dude stuffing shit into the vents or walls.

I forget the exact wording, but the warrant basically covered every reasonable place you could think to store something, which puts like the pool as off limits.
