My old job was advertising up to 20 bucks a hour for Managers

If my old boss is to be believed, even he was barely making that much, and he was the GM

$15.00 an hour to be a manager. They could afford the most luxurious of boxes to live in. Maybe even a tent. Or they could rent an apartment if they find 3 roommates.

I can't image taking a management position for not eve. $1 above minimum wage. "Want 3x the work, stress, and responsibility for 80 cents more money? Have we got the job for you."

I remember when people were demanding $15/hour as a *minimum* wage over a decade ago. It ain't worth shit now.

$15 as a minimum wage would be fine. A high schooler looking for their first part-time, entry-level job getting $15 an hour is fine. We're talking about managers though in this topic. $15 for a managerial position is not fine.

What I'm getting at is that even these days $15/hour for minimum wage is stretching it (for being fine, it should probably be somewhat higher). For a managerial position, it's ridiculous.

When I worked at a Subway, I worked with someone for like 2 shifts before working solo the rest of my 6 months there.

They also had automatic alarms that went off 30 minutes after we closed which was very fucking annoying.

What I'm getting at, is what would a manager even do? If you're the one doing the ordering and inventory, for 80 cents more than someone who's just been hired, you're getting exploited.

managers at corporate jobs like that basically just count the drawer at the end of day and tattle to the SM/GM when an employee is late.

i think min wage should be livable and much higher than it is now but also managers can suck my butt and tbh should be paid less
