Good show but do they ever chill out with the Wow Reacher is such a strong and big boy and we need to remind the viewer every 2 minutes?

I've read a couple of the novels, and that's pretty much what they are like. You get told about Reacher's height, weight, and physical prowess on the regular.

Which is why Tom Cruise was such a jarring bit of casting.

It just feels insulting. I get theyre going for male power fantasy but its non fucking stop and gets in the way of what seems to be a decent story so far.

He's portrayed even more like Rambo in season 2. Just think of him as a super hero like Batman who occasionally dispenses justice in morally ambiguous ways.

I think both seasons are above average stories with good action and suspense but they aren't going to win any awards.

He's Batman without the money. I loved the show and have been reading the books on my vacation. I've read three so far and just started a fourth. I stopped the first book cause it was the first season of the show so I've read 2 - 4 presently.

The second season is weaker than the first but still good

No, to be honest it's more like CSI:Reacher where he's putting together clues, and then there might be an occasional "John Wick" style fight scene when he gets too close to the the suspect, only to have them get away. It's good, but the action scenes aren't the focus.

I just watched s1! It's surprisingly fun. I enjoyed the action, mystery and vast of supporting characters. I feel like Reacher is supposed to be OP, but that's why it's enjoyable when he beats up assholes.

They add in a couple pointless chases and fights in season 2 just to add action, thats for sure. The show is a bit cheesy at times but its fun, I can see why its really popular, sometimes people just want to watch a dude solve mysteries and beat some ass

Yep. I feel like the supporting characters in season 1 were far better than season 2. Not that I didn't mind the dynamic of his team, I liked them all well enough and they were funny. But season 1 just had that great Finley / Reacher dynamic that isn't replicated again. Also the fact that Roscoe and Finley's actors were both recently in Fall of the House of Usher made it more enjoyable as I liked them a lot in that too.

First seasons definitely better but the third is based on allegedly one of the best books in the series (though the first book is regarded the best and that's the first season)

the dialogue is pretty lame but the overall story is enjoyable and alan ritchson is really hot so i watch

He is definitely top tier at everything he does. I still like it.

I feel personally attacked lol. Thinking over it my favorite movies are action and tend to be about a one man wrecking crew.
