Because I am looking at it from an objective standpoint. When you even look at screen shots of the game alone you can kinda tell that just from art assets alone it doesnt match up well enough not to look like a hobbled game. You have Pal which some obviously takes more inspiration from Pokmon then others, you got this weird world design that looks like it clashes with the Pals, then you have guns which is an even weirder choice. Like it doesnt take too much to see this is there. Again in no means does that mean I am claiming the game is bad, isnt fun, cant be liked, etc.

The part you posted, because at the end of the day taking inspiration is still one thing and being blatant about it is still another. Because when it comes to media people will hone in more on these things. And yes some homages are going to be blatant too but can still be done in ways where it pays respect to the source and becomes its own thing. If the Palworld developers wanted that to be the case more power to them but this just doesnt look like its the case.

Seems more like people are more bias by trying to convey the other games taking inspiration from other sources are on par with Palworld just to defend the one game that does it the most blatant out of all.

If Palworld was nothing more than a barebones pokemon clone, it wouldn't have seen the popularity that it gotten. People can already play Pokemon Scarlet and Violet if they wanted a barebones pokemon clone.

You can go back and read your own posts. And again any other media that takes inspiration either acknowledges it to the people or have done so in ways that you can tell in some cases and in most of these cases the character themselves have become their own. Again Palworld is seen and talked about as Pokmon with Guns, it will always be established like that. Can you say the same for the majority of other games that took inspiration from other sources?

Pretty sure its word of mouth but something the developers again never corrected or clarified. Which is why people bringing up other games taking inspiration kinda fail to realize since they will sometimes credit the source inspirations.

Cus Gamers are going to gamer though arguably the souls games in a way kind of had the side effect of creating a sub genre of games there that developers took inspiration from and made their own games with original ideas. I would assume Monster Hunter did the same thing with that genre of gameplay (though admittedly I am not sure if Monster Hunter even started that or not)

The fact is though that outside that you really arent seeing too many specific takes like Pokmon with Guns or Waifu Souls with most inspired works.
