In terms of online and playerbase, it is the most accessible and robust fighting game on the market. Im pretty theres more SF6 players than Tekken 8 players even though the latter just launched.

As to if its fun, well its hard to say if youve never played a fighting game. There can be a lot of pain and anger and disappointment. I think theres a good reason these gamess communities are smaller, yet arguably more dedicated than those of say shooters.

SF6 has a long single player mode intended to teach you a lot of fighting game fundamentals and 6-specific mechanics, so that can help you get into it. You also get to go to destinations and meet the cast to see who you like.

Thanks for the in-depth reply. It sounds like fun to learn the mechanics. Think Ill give it a shot when I have some more time to devote to it

both tekken 8 & SF6 have a classic and modern controls. the latter is geared towards casuals/beginners.

Tekken 8 has more players worldwide and SF6 is more North America/Japan.

I get mixed feelings watching NuckleDu replays and seeing the best Guile player in the world is also pressing Sonic Boom 90% of his actions. Im really excited to pick up Ed in two weeks, his gameplay trailer spoke to me.

Casual controls suck. You lose some of your moveset if I recall right.
