Space based nukes would actually be a pretty big deal. Russian ground troops might be a joke due to corruption, but they have plenty of nukes.

I dont believe them. I was under the impression that nukes kind of suck for space combat. The only real use would be to fire them at targets on earth.

On top of that Russia used an advanced hypersonic missile for the first time in recent strike, Ukraine claims at least. They are trying to look like the evil empire even harder it seems.

To clarify I was being sarcastic in my post above, hence the bolded word. Obviously international laws are a joke that dont apply to developed countries and are rarely enforced even upon those lesser countries they do apply to.

Destroy it once it leaves orbit. Who gives a fuck how they respond. Them putting nukes in space is already a declaration that they want to declare terror and war on the entire world. If WWIII happens as a result, it would just be quicker than it eventually would have after Russia used one of those nukes, likely on the U.S. as it's the strongest opposition to their endeavors.

Yeah, but that's a pretty terrifying prospect.

With current missile technology, it's very easy to detect launches of the missiles carrying a nuclear payload. Intercepting it is more challenging of course, but at least you have that advanced warning.

If the nuclear re-entry vehicle is already in space, there's far less warning, and interception would be extremely challenging.
