I've never understood his appeal. He is gifted at rhyming and can rap fast but, idk the content of his lyrics are lame to me. Why am I wrong?

In his prime, Eminem made rhyming effortless. He was ridiculously gifted at forming internal rhymes all over the place. Pretty clever with the word play, but his forte was making entire lines rhyme, not just the end words.
Subject matter wise, Em kinda weak but ultimately his earlier discography is his strong point. He struck a chord with many poor people cause he comes from a poor upbringing himself. I can respect the hustle. His music could be funny, it could be harsh, it could be solemn. He had range. Behind all this, though, is the knowledge that if he weren't white he wouldn't have been as successful. But that wasn't the question asked. --- everything is going to b o k ... Copied to Clipboard!
