It's definitely the best of the first three. While it's light on story, the story it does have is critically important. It's the first game that tells you wtf Cassius Bright was doing during all of FC. It has the most exposition about the Gralsitter of any game. It also has important exposition on one of the antagonists from the second game that gets kind of glossed over later in Zero and then never mentioned again. It also has the most complete detail of the Salt Pale which is a name that shows up from time to time but you'll never really understand it if you haven't played 3rd. --- 'Do you remember, Odin, when in bygone days, we mixed our blood together?
