-- Shakur's mother and father were active members of the Black Panther party.
-- His mother was tried in court for 150 criminal charges.
-- His step-father was convicted was part of the Black Liberation army and was on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted fugitive list for four years, and was tried and convicted for bank robbery, during which police officers and a guard were killed.
-- His god-father was a high-ranking member of the Party, and was convicted of murder. He was exonerated 27 years later when it was found that the prosecution concealed evidence that proved his innocence.
-- His god-mother was a member of Black Liberation and was convicted of murder of a state trooper, and is still a fugitive from law.

Tupac himself has been accused of gang rape, and convicted of sexual groping, and charged with multiple shootings and illegal gun possessions.

His music has been highly effusive of the Black Panthers, black nationalism, and has produced themes of egalitarianism, civil rights, and social equality.

What do you think of him and his views?
