I've been listening to shit like this, Arcade Fire, Chromeo, Hot Chip (lead singer in the song), Midnight, LCD Soundsystem, Kavinsky, Metronomy, Royksopp, Miike Snow, Broken Bells and so on for the last decade plus.

I still have respect for older music or other genres, but I've been more on the electric side of music for close to 20 years now.

What sucks is due to that, things slip through the cracks that I'd absolutely love. It's a shame that radio music is basically 70's, 80's, 90's, and 00's stuff, but then the only new music they'll play is hip hop, but that's it. It's as if I'm not the only one who time stopped for music.

If it wasn't for Pandora I likely wouldn't have 'discovered' a few of these bands. Back in the day you could turn on MTV or VH1 and seeing new music from someone, now videos barely exist outside of Youtube clout, radio stations barely do anything current, and your best chance of finding new shit is an algorithm or word of mouth by someone else using an algorithm.
