Why are you assuming that nobody here has been homeless or lived in abject poverty?

i guess everyone just ignores the thousands living on the street in every major city and just assumes that theyre living there because they enjoy it, not because of capitalism

No, but a brand like Timberland, or even Nike, is MUCH higher quality than off-brand all weather boots or clothing.

The example you posted isn't about buying a $500 belt instead of a $20 one. It's about buying a $20 leather one every 5 years instead of a $5 plastic one every 6 months.
