How did they do 15 seasons

I really hated that covid ruined the series finale

They wanted all the characters chillin in heaven

I still watched all of it.

My wife has showed some interest in doing a watch with me, but kind of backed off when I told her it was 15 seasons. Still holding out hope she will before I just do another rewatch on my own. Maybe I can convince her to do the first few episodes, but it's a slow burn for the first half of season 1 and doesn't really find it's pacing until season 2.

That show had 15 seasons?! I remember I gave it a shot once. I think I only saw two or three episodes. I wasn't really feeling it. Didn't care much for the missing parent trope. I imagine it's one of those shows that gets better as it goes?

No, I used to watch it all the time. Would rewatch old seasons waiting for the new one. The ending kind of ruined it for me. I actually bought a 67' impala, and now I've sold it. Not like I could drive it most of the time anyway.

It'll always hold a special place in my heart, but I doubt I'll watch it again anytime soon. Maybe if the nostalgia bug bites me in a decade.

Early seasons are best. After like season 5...meh

It got VERY old. I started watching it like 10 years ago and we're only on season 14. These later seasons are such a fucking drag sometimes.

Then you get an episode like the Scooby Doo one and it pulls you right back in

There's some excellent stuff after season 5, and only a couple of really terrible episodes (the attempted spinoff). And the ending was... pretty bad. But the show is still quality most of the way through.

Ill rewatch the first 5 seasons anytime and they are probably in my top3 shows of all time

huge deny on anything 6-15 though

I jump around and watch a few eps here and there but I'll never do another watch through. Life is too short for that.

I always have a period where I rewatch it from season 1 episode 1 but never end up finishing it. I get to like season 7 or 8? Maybe a little more.

The ones from season 5+ that I love are the meta episodes

the thing that pissed me off most of 5+ is that they brought back gab uhhhh his death was so cool

dude yeah! if you do that the show is literally one of the best things ever made on tv.

I watched it all the way through when it was still on CW. It was definitely an experience. Sadly that can't be re-experienced, as the cast back then interacted with the fanbase. So I don't think I'll be doing a rewatch.

The first couple of seasons were good fun. When they went all in with the angels vs. demons plot it started losing me, though.

My SO showed it to me and we binged the entire series over a couple months. Really enjoyed the series overall.

Gonna have to agree here. It was just way too repetitious and I wanted to see other things than those.

Also, soulless Sam and demon Dean arcs seemed to have concluded too easily. It's been like 4 years since we watched them so I can't remember some other things that disappointed me offhand.

There are some absolute rough stretches. If you took out all the bad, boring episodes and pointless unentertaining filler it'd probably lose a good 4 seasons or so. Still a solid choice as a background-noise show worth paying attention to when it gets to the good parts.

Yeah, sadly that was par for the course basically all show long. A season finale would set up some Big Deal Event Game Changer, and it would be resolved and back to status quo by the end of the next season premiere (or at most like 3 episodes in).

It seems like something I would be into but all I ever really see about it is the whole "only season 1-3 is good, then 5 is good, 8,9 , and 11 are ok. The rest can be skipped entirely" discussion which has always put me off.

I finished the entire series a few months ago and honestly loved it. Seasons 1-5 are great, 6-12 have good and bad stuff, and 13-15 were honestly pretty great. Ending sucked though. I honestly think the second to last episode would've been a much better ending.
