Couple years ago I went on a date with a girl from Tinder.

She had to cut the date short but she told me to text her over the weekend and so I did but she never replied back.

Then I look at her social media and I see she started dating a coworker.

So in this situation are girls more likely to ghost then tell the guy "sorry I'm seeing someone now."

I remember this girl ghosted me years ago and then randomly texted me back 3 or 4 years later asking for an opportunity to explain herself and I just blocked her. I had a girlfriend at the time.

Its normal.

Consider it dodging a bullet.

Many reasons why someone might ghost you. Best thing to do is move on.

I've been ghosted after girls got serious with other guys because they didn't figure we had anything else to talk about after that. I do have a few other friends that I still keep in touch with despite that because we've known each other for a long time, but I think generally it's a good idea if they can communicate it.

I think just not getting back to someone to say "I'm seeing someone else now & for the sake of that relationship we won't be able to speak anymore." Neither men or women do well with this though so that'll likely never change

They'll not only ghost you when they get a boyfriend, they'll ghost you when they think they simply have a better prospect. Happened to me at least once that I know of and probably a bunch more times where I was ghosted.

Its not just girls who ghost when they hit it off better with somebody else.

If you just went on one date from Tinder and that was your only real interaction then honestly you were really nothing to her. So yeah youd probably get ghosted in this situation. You were probably like barely a step above stranger.

Sure, possibly, and it's not a woman exclusive thing.

In general, there's a lot of people that get absorbed in a new relationship and "ghost" their regular friends and family.

It's not necessarily bad, unless they do it to an extreme where they cut everyone else off completely or something. Usually it wears off after the initial exitement.

Your male friends will probably be scarce for a while when one finds a girlfriend.

A first date cut short with no further contact, after meeting a stranger on Tinder, doesn't really qualify as ghosting IMO. This is assuming "ghosting" is being used in the derogatory sense here as the most common meaning

Some women do this. Some men do this.

It's not linked to chromosomes.
