I got into it a few months ago and have done a couple matches a day, every other day. Mixing the perks up to make your own builds is cool for both survivors and killers. The grind is high, but not impossibly so. All the micro transactions are just cosmetic. My biggest beef is repetition, generators get old quick and most of the maps are such a mixed bag. The huge ones suck, the tiny ones are phonebooths, and there's only like 2 or 3 medium sized good ones.

Lack of varied objectives, combat, or real cooperative elements is a bummer but I still think the game gets an absurdly bad rap. I wonder what it is about the asym horror genre that makes developers immediately abandon their games. Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw and Evil Dead were all -- imo -- more fun and polished. But they more or less instantly died on launch.
