It's the perfect example of storytelling through level design since there are almost no cut-scenes and minimal dialog. The world, the setting, the situation, the layout, the challenges, the item placement create the story instead of some bad exposition dumps in a cut-scene. You still understand exactly what's going on, and the story unfolds as you play - I really really wish games would have iterated on this concept instead of elaborate mo-cap cut-scenes and high priced hollywood actors. Amen. It wouldn't be so bad if games weren't written so badly.
