Assuming all the people who super love polls and how Donnie is leading just overlooked this one. Seems Biden is now leading. Just in case those people wanted to keep trusting polls.

Thing is this pollster has always had Biden significantly ahead of Trump and his numbers are decreasing even here.

It's eight and a half months before the election. I don't care what the polls say.

Just to be consistent, I'm gonna have to chime in with my usual comment for when polls are brought up: polling these days seems very inaccurate. Take this with a grain of salt.

That being said, it's still more comforting to see more polls with Biden leading.

The only polls that matter are the ones in swing states.

I don't think polls are as accurate as they were decades ago when you had three news network shows and only landlines.

It's also an era of perpetual binary campaigns - so you even have people that deliberately lie to pollsters to push some meta-agenda or because of some conspiracy they believe.

The process of modern polls is stupid and entirely inaccurate and insignificant. I don't answer calls from unknown numbers, a lot of people don't, but I bet more republicans do because of their general lack of a brain. They never pan out and are always all over the place.

I really hate the dismissive talking point that "republicans are dumb" because I have republicans in my family and in my life that are not stupid, went to better schools than I did, and work demanding jobs.

While there are dumb people of all political stripes, it's that modern republicans are usually:

a) very old
b) frightened by change
c) religious
d) greedy
e) enjoy cruelty
f) are good old fashioned proud bigots
g) some combination of the above

When we declare they are all stupid, it's inaccurate, but it also gives them something of a pass by lowering expectations and relieves them of the responsibility of agency.

No... some of them are just shitty people that want even shittier people to run things.

Fact that RFK Jr. gets around 15% of the vote when expanded is what worries me more.

Third party candidates always overperform in early polls. RFK Jr. will not get Ross Perot numbers in the election, he'll get a couple percent, the majority of which will be Republicans.

While this is good news, people should not assume that this race is Biden's to win. They need to ensure Trump's defeat by going out to vote en masse. Every vote counts.
