A microtransaction mount needs nearly no testing, no quality checks, no marketing, nearly no team at all. Just take some guy from the graphics department and let him to some fancy stuff as a side project, while you don't even bother the animators because you can reuse the horse animation from 5 years ago anyways. The guy making that horse probably has even fun while doing it, because he can go all out and take his time for every detail in his mind, instead of rushing it to fill a quota. My house is completely paid off, my vehicle is paid off and I make good money in a low cost of living area. Not that I would, not that I could even find that much video game stuff to spend money on but the reality is I could toss away $1,000 a month on video game stuff and it wouldnt really matter. It wouldnt be a big dent in my monthly savings/investings. And Im just a normal guy, not like Im rich. But again I wouldnt do this even though I could. Im just too much of a saver. I go months and months without spending a penny outside required bills. I horde all my money mostly. Buy games and books here and there. My main entertainment is just games, books, and watching tv.
