That isn't a very mini-dishwasher, that would be 40ish pounds heavier than my full size dishwasher.

is it a countertop one? (Danby?) does it hook to your faucet?

I used to have one but we're not technically allowed here and the faucets here don't work to hook up a dishwasher. I've been having (and hating) to wash everything by hand the past could years.

(that and the shared laundry are the two worst parts of having moved to an apartment)

I have a countertop dishwasher. It weighs only 30 pounds, or 14 kilograms.

Looks like an ice maker.

Honestly they take up so much counter space they don't seem worth it. Especially since full size dishwashers are usually pretty energy and water efficient, unlike stoves (which is why toaster ovens are totally worth it, especially if you live alone or with one other person). As much as I love using a dishwasher, I could absolutely live without one and just wash by hand if I needed to. My dad has never used a dishwasher in the last 40-50 years, he just washes all of his dishes by hand every night.

It's an old Whirlpool with a wooden top. Not sure make/model. Does hook to faucet.....

which reminds me I need to get a correct faucet head since mine has a spray fixture.

GE Opal 2.0 ice maker. It makes that crunchy nugget ice like they have at Sonic. Best ice maker I've ever had.

Damn do you have any counter space left? Where do you work with food?

I have about 16 feet of counter space, including the sink but not including the stove. It's actually a pretty large kitchen, about 225 square feet.

hmm, are you sure you can? apartments (like mine) intentionally don't have compatible faucets partly since they don't want people having dishwashers because they can leak water. (even if you re-jigger the faucet anyway, the hose might not be strong enough to withstand dishwasher pressures and then it will leak and you can be in a tough spot.) (not trying to make things difficult, it's just the situation I am in that I wish I wasn't in.)

if the faucet can withstand being off, it can withstand dishwasher pressure, since the only pressure would be the water coming into the dishwasher before it's funneled into jet spray

most apartment things don't want it, though, because they can't ensure you've actually done it right which, given the finicky nature of hoses, could pop off (which might be what you meant? i'm high rn so bear with me here)

it was never about the pipes themselves, it's just an excuse they use but, again, if the pipes can handle regular sink draining and just general faucet use, then it'd have no issues

this seems logical to me and would be my intuition as well but when researching it I read a lot of comments suggesting the hose could rupture eventually (and indeed if I check my setup there are pretty thin/weak looking hoses going to the faucet). I don't even know where this "dishwasher pressure" would come from or how it would affect the tap source.

though it's definitely non-trivial to modify the faucet to be able to attach the dishwasher to it. (I barely have any counter-space as it is though and not even sure I could fit one but I sure miss having one.)

(may have to pay more renter's insurance too, can't remember)
