You say you keep mafia stuff very basic but this question is very basic. Scum Peaf is just doing that to try and gain town points is a terrible theory if all these players are town. The risk reward is not there. This is mega shade on Peaf's play

I wanted to quote in the hubris part but mobile fun times.

I think he had confidence in town wanting to kill the others on the table and it just snuck up on him.

Town lose games by assuming that scum can't make mistakes, but town also loses games by assuming a player made a mistake for no good reason at all.

It's why Ulti nearly got away last game. People are like "well Ulti has done this before" and just hand wave away something that doesn't make sense.

Peaf making plays as scum doesn't explain away this-- they were not nearly as significant as this unless other scum were in the pile somewhere.

Like if I'm scum and in a position with JC and Dumey in towns sightlines I'm probably feeling pretty good.

Peaf had way more heat than JC and about as much as Dumey

Moreover he was busy. High risk plays are generally made when you can pay attention to the game. This feels more like a damage control play.

I don't think he can make that claim. Especially because red had notably sent active invitations to everyone. Peaf didn't even bother to send a date request to more than 1 person.

Though I can't see what benefit there is for red to hand wave Peaf's actions as meaningless.

I think in mafia gambits generally don't happen unless necessary to survive

I regularly encourage scumteams to claim something to throw me under the bus and it doesn't happen

If you are assuming a scum gambit you're probably correcting for another wrong assumption you made. Sometimes you're right anyway but it's usually right for the wrong reasons

all i'll say is that ulti's insistence on the inno scan was because i was on his ass

The wrong assumption in this case is assuming everyone involved in the scramble except Peaf has to be town

The fact that I am the only person pushing this implies scum WERE there too because scum would have already went for that narrative now if it was a play where there were no scum. It's free lynches for them to pursue that avenue. It being so easy for everyone to just townclear that whole pile in a game with 2 scum voices doesn't sit right.

Lopen was revisionist historying and trying to backseat a game town stomped to make up for his mafia insecurities.

I still have a nagging feeling about Dumey, but I haven't had time to digest his responses and iron it out. But I'm just not buying Kirby, because everyone including Kirby was fine with Kirby dying before I decided to drama it up. And Peaf and Kirby didn't save each other. It would have been so easy. Setting aside the fact Kirby just didn't pair with anyone sooner. I know we had 3/4 scum on the chopping block last game, but not all scum can be as suicidal as Peaf.

What are you even on about. You are a good emotional player and a poor but boisterous logical player.

Had a good doc save, scum was lynched handily and i left with town set up to win. I'd say it was a pretty good game.

And i remember reading back your old posts where they were mostly wrong.

Whereas all of my early town reads were gold.

So yeah I'd eat you on that game any day tbh.

Am I the only one who thought it was weird a few hours ago when isquen showed up, said almost nothing, got mad at us for ignoring the almost nothing he said and then disappeared?

I played it under the radar perfectly i thought. Scum didnt know i was doc til it was revealed and i kept them trapped from freekilling.

Not sure what you think was bad but that wasn't it.

Bad town reads on the other hand can be incredibly detrimental.

Boasting about town reads is what someone bad at reads does

Not hard to get a few 66%s. RNG can do that

Didn't read him town, needed to clear out towns lynch subject.

I even said it when i killed him that it was to help town based on who they wanted to lynch. I wasn't trying to make a hero play i was making a safe play based on everyone's inclination that i asked for since i knew i could not say another word in the game.

Scum red would also know for a fact the Kirby logic is bad so he is able to mock it for being informed
