Wanted to give an update on the cat. I hate the cat a little less. I realize that most of the behavior of the cat stems from the owner, my roommate. He buys poor kitty litter and she runs with it everywhere (kitchen counter, couch, etc). He doesn't bathe the cat ( it has been over year since he did it. Six months for me) and the cat moans/ meow from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am at my door because it is in heat. It gets me very annoyed, but it isn't her fault. Here she is. She is still scared of me, but when she is doing wrong.

Is she spayed?
You shouldn't really have to bathe the cat if they are indoors, she should be able to keep herself clean. The only time I ever bathed my cat was years ago - Daisy - I think she had diarrhea or something and needed a cleaning.
Winston and Ramon (4 and 2) have never been bathed.

Does the cat have toys or a scratching post or anything like that? My guys have a ton of toys and a cactus shaped scratching post. You could try building her confidence by getting a toy on a stick and playing with her for 10-20 mins a day. Also it sounds silly but talk to her like you'd talk to a person - they pick up on that - that you're talking to them.

Just suggestions though - if it's not your cat you might not want to deal with all that stuff. Your roommate should be doing it

The cat isn't spayed. Well, I guess what I was looking for is properly combing the cat. The cat leave fur everywhere. I even bought a fur comb/ brush/scraper and he thought it was weird. I don't know where it is now and I don't sit down anywhere the cat regularly sit. He doesn't know why I don't sit on the couch.

And she isn't mine but I give some suggestions.

Since it's not your cat, it just seems like your roommate seems like the person who just has a cat to have a cat. Cats are relatively low maintenance, but they still need to be taking care of with grooming and attention. Even shorthairs will shed and get every where if you aren't grooming it.

Kinda bullshit you have to deal with that, but if it's a single cat(and honestly it should get spayed) it's going to want to get socialization from humans because it won't be able to get it from another cat, which is why you have to deal with constant meowing, in heat or not.

Just try to show it some love when you can.

Good on you for getting the brush, that's nice, and not weird. Sounds like your roommate sucks

Also, the cat would be much less annoying if she was spayed

My roommate says she is coming to my door because I bought her those canned treats and the combination of the heat. So I was like, " let me give her some space."
Also, her not being spayed backfired on my roommate as the cat moaning is so loud, roaming cats hear her outside and started to hang around the front porch and marking their territory on his door. He says he wants to poison the cat. But I know he won't because deep down he loves animal.
