I used to freeze when encountering fearful situations, but now I'm a little more combative, depending on the thing I perceive is a threat. I will vote other, it depends on the situation.

Depends on the odds.

I tend towards fight unless it seems like a situation I can't possibly win against, in which case flight kicks in.

But I tend to be conflict-avoidant in non-crisis situations. But more in an "ignore" sense rather than an "avoid" sense.

So my response tend to wobble back and forth depending on how I'm processing the situation.

In true fight-or-flight situations where I've had no time to think or analyze, my instinct has always been to run, if only even to make physical space to properly assess.

I know this because it's been triggered several times by flying cockroaches.

Do you live in Afghanistan or something?

My fight or flight response is modem noises. One time a bunch of angry dogs jumped the fence and ran at me and I just looked at them and walked away. In elementary school a kid ran up to me and punched me because I was destroying him in dodgeball and I just looked at him, then he stormed off. When I play video games with friends or by myself I have no reaction to any danger and I usually die first. If I'm playing Rust and get attacked I just stand there and guilt trip the attacker for killing me while I die.

I vaguely remember someone threatening me at one point and I didn't reciprocate it at all, and they just got frustrated and told me to gtfo of there.

I run, but not very far. I'm not very fit. So typically I switch to fight very quickly. I'm not able to run but I'm very tall, very heavy, and decently strong. Short of a knife or gun or bear not much is a significant threat.

I tend to blank out and freeze, but if I don't, my response is flight.

To be honest, I don't really get "scared" much. Haven't in a long time. I have been described by my friends as "having a death wish". Like probably one of my scariest moments was someone tried to rob me (or at least I think he did) and my response was basically to just give him a "get the fuck outta here..." and walk away. Like if someone points a gun at me I would probably look at them deadpan and be like "Just get out of my face, idiot!"

No, but I do have several phobias and am easily sensitive to stimuli.

It's good that seemingly nothing rattles you.

Freeze mostly. I have a fear of height so that kicks in there and I also have anxiety issues although with those I get the shakes or have a full blown panic attacks depending the situation.

Many people like to claim their response is "Fight" because it sounds cooler and "Flight" sounds cowardly but from my experience a pretty small amount amount of people actually have the automated reflex to attack things in a situation that triggers the "fight-or-flight" response rather than retreat or shrink away.

And I do mean, your automated reflex when you sense danger, not you thinking about it a bit and deciding you rather fight than run.

Given, you can train to change your fight-or-flight response to default to fight rather then flight, but very few people do this outside of combat training.

My freeze response is fucking overwhelming. It of course showed up a lot more as a kid, but as an adult I've still been in situations where I can't move at all as long as I percieve the threat to still be real.

It's crazy that having a kid and sensing they are in danger too overrides this automatically though.
