Are the Daybreak games supposed to be pretty good? And what did people here think of Reverie?

Curious what I'm gonna be in for after I eventually make my way through Cold Steel in the next couple years.

I thought Reverie was good, but it was clear the formula was getting old. Just missed my top 10 last year.

I'm excited for finally switching over to Calvard and getting my hands on the hybrid battle system that is both action based and turn based to suit your needs

I think reception to Daybreak I was good. I think Daybreak II was a lot more mixed but this is just what I've heard through osmosis.

Also I really liked Reverie. Not SC/3rd/Azure tier but probably the next tier after that? But I also got the impression I was a bit of an outlier on some plot/character beats in terms of liking them.

I liked Reverie, though yes I'm definitely ready to move on from Erebonia

As far as I'm aware Kuro 1 was received very well and is considered among the best in the series, but Kuro 2 was somewhat more controversial for reasons I'm not clear on and I think necessitate talking about the plot of the game.

This is mainly what I've gathered from Western Trails fans who have played the Japanese versions; I don't know what the Japanese fanbase thinks.

I finally just beat cs3 after taking off from the series for a year and a half. After I finish rebirth I want to beat cs4 and reverie before this comes out

Reverie is great. Definitely a top three Trails game.

I finished the CS games already, but I'm still 3 games away from this (both Crossbell games and Reverie). I did buy Trails From Zero, but wanted to take a break for awhile before starting (partly because I was feeling burnt out to Trails but also so I could forget as many of the plot points brought up in the CS games as possible...).

Anyway, it'll probably be awhile before I could get to Daybreak.

Reverie is quite good, but yeah, I'm ready for the new arc now.
