Can't he learn other moves now too. I hear one is absolutely devastating but you have to get him really high level to learn it. Think it was flail. Was told give him a focus sash and he can one shot just about anything.

Hes been able to get Flail since the beginning I think, at level 25. Gives you some incentive to hold off evolving until then, though better alternatives exist.

Looks like he learns Flail at level 25. Flail has 200 power if you're at low health and Focus Sash means you survive a hit at 1 HP.

But he evolves at level 20 so it's just for the memes.

If I ever played pokemon again I'd make it a point to finish off the final four of whatever they have these days with a magikarp

Flail would be good if you Dragon Dance a few times (+attack and speed) while the enemy hits you, then fire back at low health with high speed and sweep.

(obviously not competitively, that isnt my game, but for internal battles youll wreck their shit)

Wish I could find this video. It was comical but it was all about how powerful magikarp is and how he can kill anything.

In Yellow I assume? Its pretty rough since Pikachu is trash. Unless you have access to the one that can learn Surf.

The problem with jokes and theories about Magikarp being super strong is that if he is actually legit, then he's no longer special.

His entire thing is that he's useless. That's why he's so memorable. Like Yamcha

At least Yamcha is only memorable because of dumb memes (which the writers of Super even gave a nod to). People who havent watched or read original DB dont realize he was once a serious character, and for what its worth, he destroyed his Saibaman. He just got careless afterward.

If destroying a Saibaman is your peak then you're a joke

Plus he wasn't serious in DB. He couldn't defeat a half dead Goku because he was so scared of girls

Look at Dr Jero or the gravity chamber or Cell Jr. Every time Yamcha turned up he got bodied

My point was that people think he was always pathetic. He wasnt, the story just left him behind sooner than the others.

Yeah. No surf. My moves set was thunderbolt swift body slam and thunder. Bruno was the only real challenge. Pikachu was level 100
