Thanks, TRE! I know we're not even halfway through the round so everyone on that list could get eliminated, but it's interesting to keep track of.

Scolipede didn't do too bad considering what it was against imo.

Kubfu is more popular than Urshifu I think, also what you have for most of that DLC. Surprised Tatsugiri was that well liked.

By the way, if this is data anyone wants, I do have complete ledgers of every vote cast so far, including from days that have already purged. I'm not really planning to use it, but if someone DOES want to see it, it exists.

Dud of the Day: Ekans
Not that Ekans was ever a wildly popular Pokemon in gen 1, but Shroomish topping Ekans might be the most surprised I've been by a result to date. Bonus dud of the day goes to Silvally, who they really tried to make a popular Pokemon and BOY did it not take.

Bidoof should have done better. what happened to the Board 8 I used to know

19 was not dud enough for me to give dud to Bidoof, not with Blastoise eating all the votes

I know I didn't minus Shroomish because it has a face you can make ASCII out of.

This is funny because these are the two Pokemon who were both seen in pre-release footage of their respective Snap games but were not included in the final release.

But Shroomish was added to the game later and Ekans wasn't.

I would never have guessed that Ekans and Shroomish had a link they shared

Don't get me wrong, I gave Dhelmise + myself, I just expected it to get drowned in - votes with being a non-evolving late gen mon that doesn't get much ingame screentime and is... admittedly very strange.

Ferroseed is hilarious, big shame.

Beldum is a pain to catch, good riddance, even though that division has worse.

Dhelmise is just so cool .... Steelworker is such a cool ability. I wouldn't consider it a "so dumb it works" Pokemon but I do admit that the concept for it feels very un-Pokemon like. Yet, they managed to make it still feels like one.

Dhelmise should have an evolution where it turns into a pirate ship. We all know it to be true.

Dud of the Day: Mewtwo
Won the division but kind of a shaky result! Sure, much stronger division overall than Krookodile's but Mewtwo ended up being too divisive to really open up a gap.

What do you guys have against the Aipom line, at least Aipom was super cute in the anime.

Dud has got to be one of the bottom two. Mewtwo isn't quite as popular here as in general, we knew that.

GameFAQs used to be pretty restrictive on what characters were allowed to be used in posts. For a long time, it was limited to characters in the ASCII and Extended ASCII character sets. Topic titles were restricted to standard ASCII characters only, while Extended ASCII characters could be used in messages.

It wasn't until 2017 with a major overhaul of the posting engine that we were finally allowed to use Unicode characters on the boards in both topic titles and messages (which includes Japanese text for the first time ever).
