8 months vs 4 years?

not a surprise since the first 8 months were so mishandled

Tell them you aren't a sheeple that believes the plandemic was real and Trump was the one that funded the vaccines out of pocket, so he's the real killer!

Say it totally deadpan like it's not the dumbest conspiracy you ever heard.

It depends if they think this due to misinformation or are spreading disinformation. I can work with misinformation, no point in entertaining disinformation.

I had a conversation with a coworker some weeks ago where he thought Trump would be better than Biden and it wasn't at all from normal right-wing talking points, he was just super ignorant on a lot of damnable Trump stuff, such as his Hitler speech, Project 2025, legal situation, etc. and I think has been misled by a particular Indian news source.

They both did a terrible job. U.S. was around 4% of the world's population and something like 21% of covid deaths if I remember correctly.

What were his talking points?

We had been drinking and there's been some time, however he was mostly harping on about how it was "proven" that Biden did, something. Sorry, the confusing part is that it was some sort of proof that Biden took money, I think, however it wasn't from any of the GOP narratives I'm well-versed in. I had no idea what he was talking about and he cited a few sources, including the Georgia Times, and when I tried to look it up I found no results.

But when I started touting Biden's economic successes, such as the lowest unemployment in 60 years and insane job growth, he thought that was Trump's doing. There is precedence where the current admin is riding the economic coattails of their predecessors, however the politically savvy knows that successful Dem economic policy is ridden on and then shattered by Republicans, which is then repaired by the next Democrat, and the pattern repeats.

He was pretty ignorant about Trump in general, it seemed. Like he kept bringing up Andrew Jackson as an example of poor Democratic behavior, and after the 3rd reference I asked him if he knew Trump literally hung up a painting of Jackson in the WH and said that was his hero, he hadn't.

He hadn't heard about the Hitler comments about poisoning the blood of the nation and wanted to see the video of him saying it as if there was some sort of context where that was ok.

He seemed to think the only legal trouble Trump's actually been charged with was the gag order in GA, however when I mentioned the 91 indictments he said "but he hasn't been charged with anything", clearly confusing "charged" with "convicted", because he is most certainly charged with crimes and the fact he's out on bail is proof of that (admittedly forgot to bring that up, we were also drinking at a bar).

As we were leaving I brought up the stolen documents he refused to return, and his response was "good", explaining that as POTUS he retains clearance for those documents per the Cons. and that he has a right to them. When I proposed the illicit things that could be done with those documents he seemed perplexed, like he legitimately didn't think Trump would be motivated to sell them to anyone, when those of us who know know money is 2/3rd of what that dude thinks about.

He's currently in a U.S. government class in college, I believe, so a lot of it was him arrogantly defending his argument with "we just went over this in class" or "we just took a test on this", especially in regard to the whole "charged with crimes" topic.

His sources he mentioned at a glance sounded fine and there wasn't anything inherently right-wing sounding, though he did talk about this Indian news source whose name I can't remember and I know that India in general has a right-wing slant.

Oh, also he kept wanting to bring up transpeople in bathrooms and kept asking me "so you don't think there will be any increases in assaults resulting from this"? Which, yeah, is a very normal Trumper narrative, however it's unfortunately also something I believe the majority of Americans in general think due to transphobia fearmongering.

So, TL;DR, it just seemed like a lot of ignorance over how awful Trump is and promises to be, as mentioned earlier when he'd never heard of Project2025, and is more ready to see Biden not have a full 8 years with some bad information, or poorly interpreted information, that has him for sure convinced that Biden is guilty of some crime as POTUS.

A. Do you honestly believe we got accurate accounts from countries like China, India, Russia, or Brazil?

B. By the time Biden was sworn in, Trump had already poisoned any chance we had at minimizing the pandemic's damage. You're faulting him for wrecking a bus whose brakes Trump cut.

You don't even need to bring up the classified nature of the documents Trump stole. Every document is covered under the Presidential Records Act. If Trump writes a memo to his Chief of Staff informing him he wants treat a visiting dignitary to McDonald's for lunch, that memo belongs to the people (through NARA).

As to the question posed by TC...

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-told-bob-woodward-he-knew-february-covid-19-was-n1239658

I wanted to always play it down. I still like playing it down because I don't want to create a panic," Trump said in a March 19 call with Woodward, according to an audio clip posted Wednesday on The Washington Post's website. The newspaper obtained a copy of the book, "Rage," which is scheduled to be released next week.

In the same interview, Trump acknowledged that the disease was more deadly than he previously thought.

"Now it's turning out it's not just old people, Bob. But just today, and yesterday, some startling facts came out. It's not just old, older," Trump said, according to an audio clip, and then added, "young people, too, plenty of young people."

He's privately admitting Covid was deadly while publicly telling us that it was nothing to worry about. He lied to us about a deadly, contagious virus that killed more than a million Americans. That's unforgivable.

No. We also had cover ups from the red states and we still did way worse than most of the world.

I did the math way back when for if China had the same death rate as the United States. It was still abysmal for the United States. Turns out China doing hypothetically badly doesn't excuse the United States from being bad.

Bad's bad. The Democrats should have done something about Republican treason long ago. They got away with stealing the Supreme Court so of course they would just ignore the constitution when it comes to O.S.H.A.. Congress has to repass laws every so often according to the Conservative Supreme Court, ridiculous.
