What an anticlimax.

I haven't seen the film. I had no interest in watching the film. I loved the unofficial sequel made by Toho. It just seems a conceptually boring option. But, then again, that's the Oscars. The safest quality film wins.

Just going off the subject material in both

I'm a little sad because I had an extra role in Killers. I knew it wouldn't beat Oppenheimer but I was certain Lily Gladstone had Best Actress in the bag. If I had to guess, some of the voters probably considered it more of a "supporting" performance rather than lead. They probably should have gone for that nomination in retrospect.

Shakespeare in Love beating out Saving Private Ryan/The Thin Red Line and Forrest Gump beating Pulp Fiction/Shawshank Redemption were much worse decisions than Oppenheimer

idk if you watch enough movies and read enough reviews/criticism from different sources for long enough you can get a pretty good feel for what a movie is gonna be like

had my suspicions confirmed many times. like when i saw the trailer for EEAAO and was like "this looks like horrible bullshit" and i started reading all these hyperbolic reviews from people with sus taste. then a friend said "its like if edgar wright directed a dan harmon script". after that i knew in my heart it would be the most annoying reddit movie ever made. then i saw it and wow i was right. that movie was irritating as hell with its epic bacon humor and nicecore themes. all because i, zithers, am the god of film writing interpretation.

What condescending, elitist, snobs ITT.
