I never got around to U but Wii is way better than the original, and probably better than 2 as well.

I have only played NSMB1 and thought it was dull. I do hear the console games are better and I am open to trying one that's available on the Switch if there are any (haven't looked but probably). What's good from these games?

U with Luigi is on Switch and its pretty good

U and it's not close. U is actually great (but so is Luigi U).

Wii is good too. I really liked it at the time of release, but U makes it kind of irrelevant if you just want to play the best.

Never played Luigi but I'll give it to U.

I never really played multiplayer so that doesn't factor in.

I gotta give it to Luigi. The shorter but more difficult levels were a fun challenge.

They were all pretty fun while playing, but it's kinda hard to remember their differences and pick out a favorite. Went with NSMBU.

I do remember NSMB2 being the worst of them, although not really a bad game.

I'm noticing none of these have sales in the Nintendo Store online for Mar10-day (some other games are still discounted so I don't think I'm too late).

If it's gonna have to be a full-priced game, how do these compare with Super Mario Wonder? I see SMW and NSMBU Deluxe (base game + Luigi U) are both $60. I'll probably buy one of these...was hoping NSMBU Deluxe had some discounts, guess not though.

SMBW is much better than any of them imo

The Mar10 day sales are disappointing. It's just Mario + Rabbids, some of the sports games, and Mario Kart 8. Oh and Yoshi's crafted world, and Luigi's Mansion 3. Nintendo has the worst sales.

I would say NSMBU Deluxe is probably worth it even at $60, but not before SMW.

I feel like NSMBU Deluxe does get discounts sometimes, but I can't remember for sure.

Anyway, I'd recommend Wonder as both the better game, and it's very new so less likely to be on sale.

Yeah, Wonder is leagues better than any of these.

Wonder is just straight up the best 2D Mario game, which obviously means it's way better than any of the NSMB games.

I tried playing the first and Wii. Got bored with both and never finished either. If U really is that good, maybe I'll give it a shot.

U might be the best, but it very much follows the same general formula as the others. If you got bored with the other two, there's a good chance you would with U as well.

Out of DS/Wii/2, 2 was the most fun to play. Wii had the best presentation but it's better played with you having to wiggle the controller and never got used to that.

Yeah the Luigi U voters have my full support as well. I could totally see voting that over U if you prefer the fast-paced, bite-sized levels. Can be pretty challenging too from what I remember!

NSMBU is legit challenging at times that I'm surprised they expected little kids to clear some of those levels, and I don't just mean the ones in Superstar Road.
