I ordered four items from Amazon on March 4 and three of them arrived on March 9, with the fourth item supposed to have been delivered somewhere between the 8th and 14th. So I checked the status on it today and it was supposed to arrive by 8pm today, which was about half an hour ago. I check the status again after 8 and now it says the package should arrive on the 19th. I even paid extra to have it delivered faster!

I barely ever order through Amazon, so I'm not sure how to handle this. The item is a surprise gift for a friend.

I live 45 minutes away from the nearest town with more than 500 people so Im just happy if it shows up a day or 2 late, after 3-4 days late I get annoyed with the merchant though

Me personally I dont do anything because Im super patient and never really depending on it to arrive at a certain date and all my shipping is free prime shipping. But if I paid for it to be there and wasnt Id feel cheated and contact them to refund the shipping.

I just assume all packages will come late and prepare accordingly. Pretty sure you can ask for a full refund and theyll give it to you and still probably get the item

Welp, the package came before I got home from work. It's funny because yesterday at work, I was getting tired of always being patient, while watching others being impatient. It's just kinda absurd that the delivery window was so wide.

there's things that can go wrong from distribution to getting it on your doorstep.

though i wished they was more honest about the timing (even a heads up) that the package could be late and being comped the shipping fee would be a good start.

one time i ordered a sky blue ps5 controller which gotten lost in transit. it never shown up but they sent another.

if i paid for shipping, i ask for a full or partial refund on the shipping, since the obligation was not met. it's very cut and dry

Oh yeah, I know, I actually work in a distribution warehouse. There's some things that take months to get to us that should realistically take less than a week.

It still met the original time frame estimation, so it's kinda whatever to me right now. However, the quality of what I ordered isn't as good as I thought it would be, so I'll be telling my friend to let me know if it doesn't hold up for very long.

I barely recall there was something in the past that I ordered but never got and had to be resent, but I can't remember anymore what it was.
