The American dream is dead and capitalism killed it

To have a comfortable life you need education, education has been completely defunct in this country for a long time now ,Colleges costs have skyrocketed yet the knowledge the bestow isn't worth the costs, but that's okay because it's been a long open secret that you do not go to college to learn how to do things competently you go there to network and socialize with enough people that you're able to use your contacts to get a great position at some already big company right after graduation and in turn yourself can now grant that to other people willing to do anything, legal, non legal, financially, sexually, to entice you to vouch for them all while accumulating more wealth and power for yourself and your connections.

People like Carlin and progressive media outlets and some like Jon Oliver really show how rigged and corrupted and absolutely hopelessly greedy society is and how success relies heavily on luck for those who manage to get there without being victim to the various roadblocks and keep their integrity as a decent person but then people get completely outraged when you chalk up their success to luck as if luck somehow invalidates their efforts, that's arrogant as fuck, there are plenty others like them who also worked hard, did the right moral things and didn't get to be successful like them, to deny luck in success is something I'll never understand.

I blame republicans.
its impossible to afford everything or anything and get anywhere. Like buy a house, new car or even go to college.
none of this happens so much in other top countries.
Like simple internet. A US citizen literally pays about 10x what even third world countries pay for much slower speeds. Why? Only greed.

Look at the whole medical/medicine anything in the US compared to the rest of the world.

and I blame republicans because they nonstop pass or block bills protecting major companies to allow them to work for greed. Multi billionaire companies pay less in taxes than some simple families and hell even get millions back each year in taxes. Yet any time democrats try to stop this shit, guess who blocks them and protects companies over the people?
This is a country where the ultra wealthy and major corporations pretty much have free reign and have no repercussions for bad and illegal actions.

This is the issue right here. The US is not a top country.

It absolutely is dead. You will always have outliers, but for the most part, most Americans are an emergency expense away from utter financial disaster.

I recall its something like 35-40% but thats a rough recollection. Still way too fucking high for one of the richest countries in the world.

But anyways you never truly know if a dream is hopeless unless you simply never try and or give up. Which is their choice to make but I dislike when they try to spread the toxicity for others to think the same.

The dream became a nightmare and so many want to continue keeping it this way. Mainly the rich and their conservative lapdogs.

Definitely agree. For full context though its far better than most developing countries, but thats not much to be proud of.

Im not trying to claim that its the worst country in the world. Id never choose to live there, as I have more appealing options, but if it was the US or South Sudan then obviously Id go for the US.

It's dead because Republicans fucked over the youth in favor of corporate profits. Nixon, Reagan, Bush1-2, Trump all fucked this nation with corporate tax breaks, while cutting security nets and programs that help young Americans.

So no, this isn't a both sides problem, this is one side having corporate overlords.
