And yes, these were real Neopets for a time.

video guides are king now, and there are a million sites that generate articles/guides with AI that are up within days of a games release. I just don't see a community driven text game guide site flourishing anymore.

Long answer-Only of the site is sold to competenowners who reinstate the KOS policy and properly promote Gamefaqs through contests and offer incentives to post modern walkthroughs (ones that use YouTube) here.

Short answer-No.

I'd do a soft rebrand leaning into current-day fascination with Y2K aesthetics and revamp the idea of a 'board" so that each game could have its own subreddit-like community.

Reddit would have to fuck up badly for that.

Gamefaqs. could easily be rebranded as "the IMDb for video games." it already has the database for it. and the games boards are like the old IMDb boards where you can find any game in history and have a conversation about it

Add more videos of game guides plus the faqs it would be the database of gameguides.

Although for me iprefer text over voices if nerds

Too late, people have associated 'video walkthroughs' with 'youtube' already. GameFAQs once had the chance to seize that market but it was content to rest on its laurels (read: lazy).

We've already got enough ads shoved in everyone's face to be the next Neopets

Ive seen some faqs added screenshots and better maps but yeah full videos added to certain puzzles and boss fights would be next level

its hard to think of new shit.

Hell being able to have a faq on my phone while playing a game was so cool.

In the 2000s i was running back and forth from my room to my families computer room to beat Resident Evil 2 and Deus Ex and brother it was peak gaming
