Don't really care about them mostly but they get a bit of a superiority complex the same way cops do so my view is skewed towards negative.

I've barely ever seen this and I've been close to it my entire life. Almost all of my male friends have been in the military (particularly the National Guard). Most of them don't like a lot of it

I'm not saying it doesn't happen. I know it does. But in my experience it's really rare

There are a ton of jobs that have a much higher mortality rate than soldiers. Even farming is far more dangerous
