The Planetary Omnibus by Warren Ellis and John Cassaday. Its orignal publication was really spotty so having the whole thing in one volume is amazing.

Astonishing X-Men (Also drawn by Cassaday weirdly enough!)

Green Lantern by Johns

One I have my eye on is the X-men Adaptations omnibus. Basically a collection of the comic book adaptation of the 90s animated series

Its kinda meta when you think about it. A comic adaptation of an animated adaptation of a comic >_>

The Batman Adventures is the same thing but with Batman the Animated Series

No X-Men? Get the omni lbus of the Uncanny X-Men. Start with Chris Claremont's run. A lot of the stories there are where the X-Men animated series takes it's interpretations from
