No. Growing up it was all about the easter bunny and getting a basket of candy.

You aren't even really reading my posts; you're just staring at your e-mail client and fondly reminiscing about that hobo you stabbed to death. :P

The non religious aspects are only relevant to children. If you are a non Christian adult, easter becomes just a normal day.

I genuinely didn't know it had anything to do with Jesus until I was around 10.

My gym is closed tomorrow

People seem to be in either the "He is risen" camp or "gimme candy" camp, and I'm definitely team candy

is this a major chain of gyms? if it is am a little surprised by that. This might be the least religious board on this site, and this site in general less religious than most americans?

I completely forgot about Good Friday yesterday. I got to the gym after work, and dude said "you're free to work out, but we close in 8 minutes".

The fact that we call it Easter says a lot. Easter is a pagen holiday that has something to do with the beginning of Spring.

Some churches call it resurrection sunday.

the bunny and the eggs are part of the pagen spring time ritual (unless you believe South Park)

So a lot of what we associate with Easter has nothing to do with Jesus

My mom would make up Easter baskets for my brother and me until we were in our 30s. lol

Now it's mostly about eating. Even though she's a maga Jesus is rarely ever mentioned at Easter dinner.
