archizzy 03/31/24 4:57:00 PM #9:	Multiple times when I was in the U.S. Navy to multiple destinations. Saint Martin is a very interesting island that is half Dutch and Half French. It is like two different worlds on one relatively small island. The French side is like a third world country and largely to be completely avoided and feels like just straight garbage while the Dutch side is super nice where I spent all my time enjoying great food and wine. Lovely place. All the islands near Saint Martin are nice. There are many great places all over but I have to say the Bahamas are the most over rated. Sure the tourist part is nice and the water/beaches are great but if you get out into town and away from the tourist part it can be quite bad. It reminds me of Atlantic City in a way where the boardwalk/tourist part is nice but the rest of the place is quite different and not nearly as appealing. Have been all over the Caribbean.
