News update

Iran is required politically to retaliate, and they have... their attack was intentionally ineffective and done just for show

Only one casualty, a 10yo boy, hit by Israeli shrapnel.

Iran being remarkably mature

Lobbing hundreds of drones and cruise missiles at an entire country, across the airspace of other countries without their consent, is "remarkably mature".

It never ceases to amaze me, the levels to which Iran gets a fucking pass for everything it does.

"It's ok, Israel and the US spent billions of dollars to protect civilians from their reckless attack!" (which was far from guaranteed to prevent any casualties, since a massive barrage overloading the missile defense systems' capacity is exactly the sort of scenario it's most likely to let some through) is somehow a perfectly valid excuse.

"We're going to attack you, but deliberately cause and suffer no actual harm in the process" is actually a pretty considerable flex.

Hamas hides inside the skulls of children. Infanticide is the only way.

We should totally be outraged. After all, it's not like the US would ever do anything like that.

Sometimes, like it or not, when you're at war, you're going to hit some civilian targets by accident.

And sometimes, when your enemies deliberately hide in schools, hospitals, and other civilian areas, then civilians are going to get bombed.

Terrorists literally hide in those places because they're trying to provoke exactly that response, to generate manufactured outrage. And because they generally don't give a shit about innocent lives if it nets a PR win. Collateral damage. Can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs.

It's not really a news flash that a kind of sucks for people stuck in the middle of one.

Ok let's just set aside the fact that Israel has been lying about that, if someone is holding you at gunpoint as a hostage, maybe you wouldn't want the police to shoot you anyway because "what else are they going to do"

There was also that time Israel made a bunch of civilians (kids) walk into camera and hold up their hands and pretend they were Hamas, the time that Israel shot up a crowd of people clamoring over flour on a truck, killing what, 60+ civilians? The time that Israel found a brand new iPad with a home screen of Hitler that they claimed belonged to a little girl, the time they did the same with a brand new copy of mein kamft, the time they justified bombing a hospital because they "found" a single gun in it (afterwards), the fact that they've killed 40,000 civilians pretty much without a care in the world, the fact that it's not just one food truck, but most food trucks, and that the civilians are on the brink of mass starvation because Israel repeatedly makes a habit of preventing anything but a trickle of food in, the fact that they initially tried to cut off water to all of Palestine before Biden forced them not to... I can't even keep going because the list is endless. They make the US army look like saints.

Or the time that multiple Israeli government officials have just explicitly gone on record saying Palestinians are subhumans and need to be killed.

The IDF Intel team has stated that they are frustrated that they do all this research on who is and isn't Hamas and the soldiers just completely ignore them and kill whoever they want.

And for every 10 civilians killed they probably create 1 vengeful terrorist, so there's no reason to do any of this unless you thought something crazy like, idk, this is the holy land and we must conquer it or something, idk who would even think that.

It is true, and I'll give you this point, in all fairness a Biden admin did say "it would be nice if Hamas would stop using human shields "

It would also be nice if Israel stopped bombing the "human shields", lol.

They informed both the US and Israel (and presumably others) of the nature and time of the attack specifically to avoid casualties.
