Remember that for the second division and all future divisions, 9th place is the one that gets in the wildcard race, and 10th and 11th are eliminated outright!

Once we get results, yes. There are 12 untallied divisions and 11 spots, but some of those are finished if you just super want to count them yourself. The score to have a chance is -12.

It definitely isn't something I would have predicted, but it does kinda make sense. It was by far the strongest Pokemon in a fairly weak division, and it was in one of the first rounds when the votals are naturally going to be higher.

That said, I wonder if a round 2 bye may end up kinda being a disadvantage for certain Pokemon. I assume they won't be eligible for a round 3 bye, which will definitely be the harder round to survive, when they probably would have crushed their round 2 opponents. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up with an overseeded round 1 bye that gets a bad draw and ends up eliminated in round 3.

I think Eevee is a fair amount weaker than most of its evos.

I'm surprised Elekid did so poorly, I thought it was well-regarded as far as babies go. The babies have not done well!

Incredibly close votes here - any of these six things could have gotten eliminated had any one person cast their vote differently. Heatran has by far the best lowest score in any division by a wide margin.

Star of the Day: Sableye
I could give it to Dubwool or Wattrel as well, who put up unexpectedly strong performances (I was mistaken in not giving Kilowattrel start of the day before) but I think Sableye gets it with a winning performance over Rapidash. Big win.

Dud of the Day: Drakloak
Drakloak was a top 10 performer in the gen 8 rankings so it barely scraping above positive digits here with very little competition has me baffled. This is one of the biggest duds of the contest imo. Pretty much everything in this division was a dud besides Sableye and Rapidash though.

Fun fact: Stunfisk had 18 positive votes, 14 negative votes, and only 9 neutral votes. You probably feel one way or another about Stunfisk!

it looks like a strong division to me (Zapdos, Toucannon, and Tauros were the other top contenders) but I have been clinically proven to not know what I'm talking about

People here like Volcarona huh. And I've always thought Heracross, Hawlucha and Galvantula are overrated but eh. At least Krookodile is where he should be. And Spheal and Haunter!

It is important to keep in mind that the list is weighted quite heavily by the fact that votals dropped by about 10 over the course of the contest

Honestly none of these are that surprising to me. There's a few ones that are slightly head scratchy, but not "wait people actually like this guy" head scratchy.

Then again, I have no knowledge on the B8 crowd's taste in particular and just going off overall vibes.

How weak was Entei's division? It getting 71 is the biggest surprise for me.

It beat Litten, Vlieplume, and Meloetta.

I don't do any math, I do copy and pasting and let the spreadsheet do everything. the harder something is to copy and paste into a spreadsheet the more work it'll be for me

btw, I interpreted a +2 Metagross in Metronome division as a vote for Magnezone and it did affect placement. I don't like doing this but I did not want to throw out the entire ballot and no other possibility really made sense
