I've been thinking about this a lot on my walks to and from work this last week. Let's assume that the atmosphere and planetary conditions are similar to Earth, and life is carbon based. The planet is in the Goldilocks zone, to the extent that a tidally locked body can be, eg, it will likely be mostly based in the terminator zone.
How different do you think their culture would be? How do you think technology development would differ? What other things do you think the lack of a day/night cycle would influence? Hard mode: the planet does not have a moon or other visible satellite body. --- five, five, five, jack -five nobs ... Copied to Clipboard!

Can you actually have a planet tidally locked to its star in the goldilocks zone?

Can you actually have a planet tidally locked to its star in the goldilocks zone?I had not even really considered that but Google says it's perhaps likely with some currently detected exoplanets. https://www.lpi.usra.edu/planetary_news/2023/05/30/terminal-habitability-the-goldilocks-zone-of-tidally-locked-exoplanets/ --- five, five, five, jack -five nobs ...
