i had a glass of milk for the first time in years on Monday because it was recommended to take with my medication. had legit explosive diarrhea about an hour later

I still take my morning meds with milk. Makes my stomach feel better in the morning.

I have had so much soy/almond/oat milk in the last 20 or so years that on the rare occasion I have real milk it really tastes weird. Plus it gives me enough explosive diarrhea to paint the inside of my toilet brown.

When I'm working on putting on muscle, milk is the absolute best. Love me some crunchy granola and a cold glass of milk.

I still put milk in my cereal.

It started sometime last year. For months on end I had stomach pains, diarrhea, and the worst, foulest, most toxic smelling farts imaginable. I've been going to the doctor and changing my diet around and about 3 or so months ago I was able to pinpoint that dairy was causing the issues.

You're technically aren't even supposed to drink milk after a certain age, since your body's ability to produce the enzyme that breaks down and digest milk becomes weaker and weaker every year. That's technically what being lactose intolerant is, but even then, Milk still isn't that good for you since it causes inflammation throughout your body, sometimes causing acne.

I don't mind. Those commercials are comedy gold.

I recently learned that you can have alcoholism-induced lactose intolerance and now I just have one more worry to drink away.

I remember quite a few milk commercials on TV.

I have to drink milk for my stomach to handle spicier stuff these days.

It's funny how my bodily health saw no negative impact after I got away from the heavy milk consumption. Heck, even my breath improved. Ah well.

These days, I only use dairy milk for specific baking needs, since almond milk doesn't cut it for chemistry reasons on a lot of baked goods. Like I'll be making some blueberry buckle soon, and I need either 2% or whole for it to turn out right. Pancakes only barely do OK with almond milk, but that's because some mixes do fine with water. Point is, I don't really drink dairy milk any longer, but the stuff has its culinary uses.
